We’re a crafty, small team who are spread across the west coast. Cleary’s are designed in California and Oregon. Most of us are parents , we’re all bike lovers and we all believe in the opportunities a bike offers a child.

Between us parents, we’re obsessed with kids’ worldviews. We spend our days dissecting what’s important to them and how to win with them before, during and after they get on a bike. We study many aspects of kids’ rides: the heightened emotions, the thrills of discovery, the joy of accomplishment, the unbridled pride, the cheek-to-cheek smile.

We design bikes to give kids the most boundless possible riding experience. No dumbed-down adult bikes. No gimmicky playthings. Our bikes are crafted so kids feel that their rig was made just for them. When your child is ready to take flight on two wheels, we’ve got the bike to make it happen.

The Scout 20 is the real deal. It’s spec’d with a 80mm Suntour XCR Air fork that’s been on the podium at Red Bull Rampage and multiple World Cups. When your child is ready to let it flow through the rock garden, this is the fork to lead them through it.

The Scout’s lightweight aluminum frame sports oversized, thin-walled tubes that let little rippers carve as hard as they want without flex or wobble.

The buttery smooth Microshift 9-speed drivetrain boasts Adjustable Chain Stabilization and all-alloy construction. We paired that with KMC’s X-10 chain to offer quick engagement and precise shifting in all conditions.

FIT + SIZING

The Scout 20 is best fit for riders with an inseam of 19-23”.
The Scout 20 has a low bottom bracket height, which allows a rider with a 19″ inseam to comfortably start out.
The seat tube angle on the Scout 20 allows the bike fit to grow along with the rider.
The seat moves up and back as you increase saddle height, so even a 4 1/2’ tall rider will fit.
